ABOUT

441 Ministries Beechwood partners with
local churches and other like-minded organizations to bring hope, healing, and holistic
development through the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Beechwood
neighborhood of Rochester. We understand that by engaging our neighbors in such a
way as to build deep and lasting relationships, not only do we discover areas and issues
in their lives into which we may speak the truth of the gospel, but also may find assets
they already possess, which we may help develop with the hope of improving their
quality of life.
Beginning with summer evening bible clubs held in a neighborhood park, 441 Ministries
Beechwood has grown to regularly minister to younger children through our Saturday
Kids Club, teens through our Teen Club/Mentoring Program, ages 4 through 18 at our
daily Summer Meals Program. We are also attempting to address the issue of fresh
food scarcity through our weekly summer Farm Stand and providing our neighbors with
the opportunity to learn the benefits of growing their own fresh produce in the 441
Ministries Beechwood Community Garden, along with providing nutrition and wellness
instruction through Foodlink. By making our building available for the use of Narcotics
Anonymous groups, we are partnering in the struggle of those recovering from
addiction. Our newest endeavor is the New City Cafe providing employment and
mentoring for neighborhood teens, as well as excellent coffee and a community
gathering space.

OPPORTUNITIES

Whether it’s serving as a volunteer with a Kids Club or Summer Meals team, ministering to, and mentoring a neighborhood teen facing peer pressure or educational struggles, sharing gardening expertise with our neighbors, or helping maintain our ministry center, or the grounds surrounding our community garden or assisting in the operation of our cafe, opportunities to be a blessing to our neighbors is really limitless.
